Beneath the rain-soaked glow of the city, A mother and her children move like brushstrokes of love across a canvas of light and reflection. I painted with a palette knife to evoke freedom and the looseness of my paint application. A radiant yellow coat anchors the composition, holding together bursts of blue and pink small flames of innocence against the night. Silver rain falls like whispered music, turning pavement into liquid gold. This was my neighborhood, my street and I remember the rainy nights when I walked my kids back and forth to where we needed to go. Each step splashes with memory, joy, and trust. In this painting, love becomes shelter, bright enough to outshine the storm.
